Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: A significant part of the criticism directed by the opposition segment of Armenian society rightly refers to the indifference shown by the RA authorities towards a part of the Armenian military-political elite held hostage in Azerbaijan and numerous citizens of Armenia.

The authorities insist, however, that these accusations are unfair, since they are actually very concerned about this issue and are doing everything within their capabilities to return them to the homeland, but they do not speak about it publicly because, according to them, with that they can harm our compatriots held in Azerbaijani captivity.

The efforts of the RA authorities in the matter of releasing the Armenian captives are clearly insufficient. Divisions in this matter are very inappropriate.
