Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov today met with Deputy Secretary General for Economic and Global Affairs of the European External Action Service Simon Mordue and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Magdalena Grono, Azerbaijani media report.

According to the report, the meeting discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

“Jeyhun Bayramov informed the guests in detail about the situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period. He said Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale reconstruction and construction works in the liberated territories, as well as active humanitarian demining activities. Bayramov stressed that despite the progress in the normalization process between Baku and Yerevan, the preservation of territorial claims to Azerbaijan in the Armenian Constitution and the rapid arming of this country pose a threat to the advancement of the peace agenda,” Azerbaijani media report says.
