The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] [former] residents [now living in Armenia] plan to hold a big rally next week.

It will be aimed at ensuring the right of return of Artsakh residents, the return of [Armenian] captives from [Azerbaijani] Baku, the preservation of [Armenian] material culture in Artsakh, and the solution of social problems of the Artsakh Armenians.

Let us note that the social assistance being provided [to them by the government of Armenia] will be partially effective from April 1. Artsakh [former] residents urge that until the people are provided with housing, the support of 40+10 thousand drams should be effective. As they say, it has no alternative at the moment.

Our forcibly displaced compatriots are dissatisfied also from the proposed housing program. Even the numbers of users and applicants of the program testify to the dissatisfaction of the Artsakh [former] residents with the housing program being proposed by the RA government. As of today, about 3 percent of the forcibly displaced Artsakh residents have received a certificate, 0.2 percent have acquired an apartment.

The [former] residents of Artsakh believe that the housing program being proposed by the [Armenian] state cannot have good results and will only contribute to [their] emigration [from Armenia], or that immigration will take place within Armenia itself: from village to village, from province to province, from city to city.
