At least 23 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours as a result of Israeli army strikes, Al Jazeera reports.
Tens of thousands of civilians are leaving the southern part of this Palestinian enclave, while the Israeli army continues to carry out intensive artillery and air strikes, shelling the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis there, Al Jazeera added.
And according to the Gaza health ministry, ever since March 18, when Israel resumed military operations in the enclave, the death toll in the region has reached 1,042. Also, 2,542 people have been injured. Ever since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, the number of deaths as a result of Israeli army operations has reached 50,399, and 114,583 Palestinians have been injured.
