The foreign ministers of Armenia and Russia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov, exchanged messages on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Mirzoyan's respective message reads as follows, in particular:
"During this relatively short historical period, thanks to joint constructive and effective work, the interstate relations of Armenia and Russia have been strengthened and expanded, based on the centuries-old friendship of our peoples.
In the modern conditions of the changing architecture of international relations, it is important to continue our partnership cooperation based on the interests of our states and for the benefit of our countries and peoples.
We have as a benchmark the long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in political, socioeconomic, humanitarian and other domains, and aim to continue and expand a meaningful dialogue that fully meets the interests of our countries."
