Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Magdalena Grono, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the PM’s office.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the situation in the South Caucasus, in particular, the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. They underscored the agreeing on the text of the draft agreement on the establishment of peace and of interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In this regard, Premier Pashinyan emphasized the Armenian government’s commitment to the peace agenda.

In turn, Grono stressed the importance of signing this agreement, and expressed a conviction that it will contribute to ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.

The parties touched also upon the further development of Armenia-EU relations and the effective implementation of democratic reforms being carried out in Armenia—and with the assistance of the EU.
