Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov expressed a conviction in a letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov that coordination and mutual support of Moscow and Baku’s actions on international platforms will work towards the strengthening of stability and security in the South Caucasus.

“We aim to continue coordinated work between our foreign affairs ministries. I am convinced that coordination and mutual support on international platforms, effective cooperation in the CIS and regional formats will contribute to the implementation of mutually beneficial agreements, strengthening of stability and security in the South Caucasus and the Caspian region,” reads Lavrov’s congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
