The European Union (EU) has not yet spoken to the Americans about the sanctions on Russia, David O'Sullivan, the EU Sanctions Envoy, told Bloomberg.

According to him, the representatives of US President Donald Trump's administration have not yet approached him with a proposal to discuss easing the sanctions against Russia.

The easing of these sanctions is one of Russia's demands for a ceasefire in Ukraine.

All EU member states must unanimously support the easing or lifting of these sanctions. But so far, many European leaders have said that they do not intend to support easing the sanctions against Russia yet.
