In Armenia, we know that the establishment of peace is a long and sometimes difficult process, on the way to which all efforts are justified. Hakob Arshakyan, Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, stated this during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). 

As Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the press service of the National Assembly, he also noted:

“In this spirit, we have recently taken a significant step.

Armenia confirms that the draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan has been approved and the negotiations have been successfully completed.

The peace agreement is ready to be signed and Armenia is ready to finalize this historic step.

We invite Azerbaijan to join us in taking this important step towards a peaceful and prosperous future for our two peoples.”
