The spokesperson for the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Foreign Affairs (RA MFA), Ani Badalyan, has dismissed the reports that foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan had an undisclosed visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Badalyan noted that she also informed the media outlet that had asked the MFA about this, and despite this, false and erroneous information was disseminated.

“Yesterday, the RA MFA had received a request from a journalist from the Pastinfo agency whether the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan had recently made an undisclosed visit to Dubai (UAE), where he had official or unofficial meetings, for example, with the Azerbaijani foreign minister.

The RA MFA spokesperson, both verbally and in a written response, unequivocally dismissed the medium’s erroneous ‘information’ about the foreign minister’s alleged ‘undisclosed visit,’ noting that the minister’s working and official visits are always covered, and no undisclosed visit, including to the UAE, took place.

The journalist was informed also that the RA foreign minister returned from his official visit to Kazakhstan on March 28 on an Astana-Dubai-Yerevan flight. At the same time, it was clearly noted that no official meeting or unofficial contact with a representative of any country took place in Dubai. The response further emphasized that it is provided as a refutation of the erroneous ‘information’ noted in the query,” the Armenian MFA spox noted, in particular.
