A power line will be laid through Iran to connect Azerbaijan with its Nakhichevan exclave.

According to Azerbaijani media, this was announced during an expanded meeting between Azerbaijani officials and the Iranian minister of roads and urban development, Farzaneh Sadeghi.

Confidence was expressed that the construction of this power line will not only serve to ensure energy security, but will also make a significant contribution to the increasing of cooperation between the countries in the electricity sector.
