The Past daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Recently, a journalist from the Past newspaper recorded that the EAEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union] flag was also raised near the flags of Armenia and Russia near the Russian Book House in [the capital] Yerevan.

According to our information, the author of the initiative is Mher Avetisyan, a public and political figure, head of the "My Country, My Armenia" public movement.

In an interview with Past, he confirmed this information, and added that by raising the EAEU flag in Yerevan, he is sending a clear signal that Armenia will not go to the EU, but will continue to remain in the place that is beneficial for it—in the EAEU.
