Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with Iran, the relevant document was posted on the website of official publication of legal acts, RIA Novosti reported.

The treaty was signed on January 17, 2025 during the visit of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian to Moscow.

According to the document, the parties seek to deepen and expand relations in all areas of mutual interest, strengthen cooperation in the field of security and defense, close coordination of activities at the regional and global levels, which corresponds to a long-term, comprehensive and strategic partnership.
