The panel of judges of the World Car of the Year competition selected the winners of the 2025 awards, reports Drom.ru.

And the Kia EV3 electric vehicle (EV), which surpassed the BMW X3 and the Hyundai Inster EV based on the total number of points, was named as the 2025 World Car of the Year.

In the other categories of this competition, the winners were the BYD Seagull (city car), the Volvo EX90 (luxury class), the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (sports car), the Hyundai Inster (EV), and the Volkswagen ID: Buzz (design).

Also, BYD CEO Stella Li was named the 2025 World Car Person of the Year.
