Ten aftershocks, with magnitudes of 3.1 to 4.9, were recorded Wednesday in Istanbul after a strong earthquake, with magnitude 6.2, informed the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of the Turkey.

The earthquake occurred at 12:49pm.

An aftershock, with magnitude 5.9, was recorded at 12:51pm. It was followed by several other aftershocks, with magnitudes of 4.4, 4.8, 4.5, and 4.9.

And starting from 1:07pm, the intensity of these tremors began to decrease to 3.4-3.1.

Local experts note that these aftershocks will continue.
