Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, accompanied by several priests of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, on Thursday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan to commemorate the holy martyrs of the Genocide.

And at the Eternal Flame of the memorial, an intercessory prayer service for the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide was performed under the leadership of the Catholicos.

This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Every year on April 24, hundreds of thousands of Armenians silently march to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, and lay flowers in memory of the approximately 1.5 million victims of this tragedy.
