Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini made a post on Facebook on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

“One hundred and ten years ago, the Armenian Genocide. A wound of history. A tragedy that cost the lives of one and a half million women and men, victims that demand justice and truth. A memory that cannot and should not be forgotten or ignored, but remembered and passed on to our children,” Salvini wrote.

This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Every year on April 24, hundreds of thousands of Armenians silently march to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, and lay flowers in memory of the approximately 1.5 million victims of this tragedy.
