President Trump’s weak “remembrance” of the Armenian Genocide is a gift to denialists. US Congressman Frank Pallone wrote this on Facebook—and referring to the fact that US President Donald Trump, unlike his predecessor, Joe Biden, did not use the term "genocide" in his Armenian Genocide anniversary message, and described the events of 1915 as the "Meds Yeghern," meaning “Great Calamity.”

“U.S. recognition is official—and irreversible—but his refusal to use the word genocide undermines the truth and dishonors the victims of 1915. History demands clarity, not cowardice,” Pallone added.
