The genocide of the Armenians began 110 years ago. Keeping the memory of this crime alive is not just about remembering the victims when even states try to deny the past; it’s forcing ourselves to act to stop today's executioners. Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Francois-Xavier Bellamy wrote this on Facebook.

“The Armenian people have again been targeted by ethnic cleansing, under the eyes of silent nations. And it is threatened again, every day, by the attacks of a regime that dreams aloud to see it disappear. Tonight I am thinking of the [Armenian] refugees of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], victims of a death project that hasn't changed. They have lost everything simply because they have the misfortune of being the spiritual brothers of Europe. It is time for Europe to finally wake up to assume this link, the duty it imposes on us,” added the French MEP.
