Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan on Monday received the newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Armenia, Li Xinwei, on the occasion of presenting a copy of his credentials, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Safaryan congratulated the newly appointed ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Armenia, wished him fruitful work in further developing bilateral ties, and expressed readiness to provide all support in this regard.

The parties noted the dynamic development of relations between Armenia and China since the establishment of diplomatic relations, and placed particular importance on the historically formed friendship between the two peoples.

Both parties emphasized the commitment to intensifying political dialogue and promoting multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries.

Also, the interlocutors exchanged views on regional developments, as well as matters of mutual interest.
