The text of the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been agreed upon and is ready for signing. We expect that we will be able to establish comprehensive peace with Azerbaijan. This was stated by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan during a joint press conference with visiting Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Tuesday.

"Armenia highly appreciates Georgia's efforts aimed at the strengthening of stability and security in the South Caucasus, as well as supporting of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

We welcome Georgia's initiatives to create bilateral and trilateral cooperation platforms and value Georgia's role in finding avenues for cooperation and implementing shared economic projects," Khachaturyan said.

Also, the Armenian president expressed confidence that Armenia and Georgia will continue to deepen and strengthen their partnership relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and the entire region.
