The building of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) representation in Yerevan, which was, in fact, the property of the Artsakh government, has been transferred to the management of the government of Armenia. Five years ago, former President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan had pledged this building as collateral for $800,000 to Artsakhbank, reports Pastinfo news agency.

As is known, last week, the National Assembly of Armenia, after lengthy debates, made amendments to the Civil Code of Armenia, as well as to the law on amendments to the law on state registration of legal entities, separated subdivisions of legal entities, institutions, and individual entrepreneurs.

Accordingly, organizations registered in Artsakh were given until December 31, 2024 to re-register in Armenia in order to continue their work.

But the question arose regarding Artsakh properties that are in Armenia and are in any way burdened with existing obligations. The main theory of these amendments is that, taking into account that the properties located in Armenia continue to remain subject to collateral, and the government of Armenian has purchased some liabilities, then the rights to the properties from the perspective of collateral for those properties are transferred to the government of Armenia.
