Iran’s Judiciary on Wednesday executed a man convicted of spying for Israel’s Mossad national intelligence agency, reports Tasnim News Agency.
The man, named Mohsen Langarneshin, was convicted of connection with Mossad.
He had provided operational and technical support in the assassination of Sayyad Khodaei, a colonel of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Tasnim added.
Langarneshin was recruited by Mossad in October 2020 and conducted his first operation in January 2021 after attending various training sessions, as per the aforesaid news agency.
He was working in close cooperation with Israel’s senior officers and the Mossad elements inside Iran, Tasnim noted.
“Langarneshin had confessed to his crimes during the interrogation process and in court,” added the aforementioned news agency.
