The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: On May 9, the heads of the CIS member states will attend—in Moscow—the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II, but the details of [Armenian PM Nikol] Pashinyan's visit are being kept secret.

Back on March 14, after a telephone conversation held between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and RF President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin had reported that the prime minister of Armenia has confirmed that he accepted the invitation by the president of Russia and will participate in the anniversary celebrations—scheduled for May 9 in Moscow—of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On this occasion, the Zhoghovurd daily had sent a query to the RA prime minister's staff to find out:

  1. Will Nikol Pashinyan, like in previous years, leave on the same day and return? Or will he spend the night in the RF and return the next day?
  2. With whom and what meetings are planned during Pashinyan's visit?
  3. Are Pashinyan-Putin, Putin-[Azerbaijani president] Aliyev, or trilateral meetings planned? And with what agenda will the prime minister attend these meetings?

In response to the query, the prime minister's staff conveyed that that the RA prime minister's staff provides appropriate information in a timely manner on all visits by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The thing is that according to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, Pashinyan is going to spend the night in Moscow and will try to resolve foreign policy issues behind the scenes; in particular, he will try to regain the trust of Moscow and the Kremlin.
