The seismological network of Armenia on Thursday recorded an earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.8, in the country, at 7:47am local time, 13 kilometer southeast of Gavar town, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremor measured magnitude 3 to 4 at the epicenter, informs the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

The seismic activity was felt in Gavar and Martuni towns, as well as in Yeranos, Vardadzor, Dzoragyugh, Sarukhan, Lanjaghbyur, and Gegharkunik villages of Gegharkunik Province.
