At least 35 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the Gaza health ministry said, reports Al Jazeera.

At least eight of the dead were victims of an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of this Palestinian enclave.

And 109 wounded were taken to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza health ministry added that 2,308 people, including 595 children, have been killed since Israel resumed hostilities in the region. Another 5,973 people have been injured.

Since the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in October 2023, the death toll has exceeded 52,400, with 118,014 injured.

Also, several thousand people, whose bodies are believed to remain under the rubble, are considered missing.
