If Amulsar's operation begins this year, it could have a certain—in our assessment—impact of about 0.5 percent on GDP growth. The minister of finance of Armenia, Vahe Hovhannisyan, stated during Friday’s press conference.

He said that the operation of the Amulsar gold mine was planned for the end of the year, and its impact will be rather marginal.

The finance minister added that Armenia's economic growth was returning to its potential growth, which, in their opinion, is 5 to 5.5 percent.
