Minister of economy Gevorg Papoyan on Friday received a delegation comprising more than a dozen businessmen who have arrived in Armenia from Lyon, France.

During the meeting, the French businessmen presented their domains of activity, and expressed interest in investing, as well as forming mutually beneficial partnerships in Armenia.

Minister Papoyan presented Armenia's investment policy, the legislative framework conducive to investments, and the mechanism for assisting business in the country.

"Armenia is on the path of diversifying the economy and developing a number of strategic sectors. One of our [i.e. Armenia’s] priorities is to promote foreign investments by forming a more favorable, flexible, and predictable business environment. We are interested in close cooperation, especially with French partners, and are ready to discuss the possibilities of implementing investment programs of mutual interest," noted the economy minister of Armenia.
