The Indian Army has once again recorded Pakistan violating the ceasefire along the line of control in the Vale of Kashmir, which is the eleventh consecutive violation, the Indian Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesperson said on Monday.

The Indian MoD spox added that the Indian troops responded promptly and proportionately to the firing of shots.

There were no reports of casualties or injuries.

Relations between India and Pakistan have strained since April 22, when 26 people were killed in a terror attack in Pahalgam town in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
