Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov said that Russian companies were interested in actively participating in the restoration of Azerbaijan-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, reports the Minval Politika newspaper.
Yevdokimov spoke about his visit to Karabakh Stepanakert during the presence of Russian peacekeepers there. The Russian diplomat noted that he saw both the old and restored parts of the city.
“Karabakh simply amazed me, amazing nature, especially in Lachin; this is a truly beautiful region,” the Russian ambassador emphasized.
The diplomat noted that the Astrakhan Region of Russia was building a kindergarten in Karabakh, which will be gifted to Azerbaijani children in the summer.
According to Yevdokimov, 24 Russian companies have already expressed their interest in participating in the restoration projects in Nagorno-Karabakh.
