Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by the mayor of Marseille, France, Benoit Payan, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the PM’s office.
The premier welcomed the visit by the mayor of Marseille to Armenia, and highlighted the importance of the development of Armenia’s multilateral relations with France, including in the format of local self-government agencies. Also, Pashinyan lauded Payan’s actions and personal efforts to deepen France’s ties with Armenia.
In turn, the mayor of Marseille noted that he arrived in Armenia in order to deepen and expand cooperation with the country’s capital, Yerevan, and noted that the development of multi-sectoral relations with Armenia is of great importance to him.
It was noted that Marseille’s collaboration with Yerevan in infrastructure, education, tourism, culture and the implementation of joint programs, as well as exchange of experience in various directions, were discussed within the framework of the visit.
Several other matters of mutual interest were also touched upon during the meeting.
