Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Alen Simonyan [the speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia] made another anti-Russian statement yesterday at a [press] briefing that a hybrid war is being waged against Armenia: "a lot of money is being spent from outside... by the northern neighbor," which is periodically getting active.
Among the participants are some Russian experts—with Armenian surnames—who are attempting to "change the [Armenian] government," hold rallies, etc., as they do not like the sovereignty of the RA. The NA speaker made these statements immediately after the meeting with the RF ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin.
It is interesting what did Kopyrkin convey to Simonyan that he has toughened again his anti-Russian rhetoric that was recently toned down. There is a meager official report about the meeting: "The topics regarding the bilateral, as well as inter-parliamentary relations were at the core of the interlocutors’ discussions. The sides also touched upon the agenda issues referring to the official visit of the Speaker of the Federal Council of the RF Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko to the Republic of Armenia."
Let us recall that Matvienko's visit [to Armenia] was expected at the end of last year, but was postponed for unknown reasons. According to the latest data, she will come to Armenia in June.
