A working consultation was held under the chairmanship of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Armenia and the European Union (EU), as well as the programs being implemented within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the work carried out towards the implementation of CEPA, the progress recorded, as well as the process of reforms being implemented in a number of domains in Armenia. In particular, reference was made to the country’s legislative reforms, improvement of the governance system, and projects launched in justice, human rights, economic competitiveness, environmental protection, and the digital sector.

Also, matters related to the approved timeframe for the implementation of CEPA were discussed, and it was reported that positive results have already been recorded in certain domains. As key examples of cooperation, the advancement of the justice reform agenda, the modernization of the public administration mechanism, and the programs being implemented to combat corruption and the introduction of digital solutions were presented.

The strategic importance of the implementation of CEPA was underscored, emphasizing that it is of key importance in the Armenia-EU partnership.

The premier gave instructions to the departments in charge of the matter—and aimed at the consistent implementation of the commitments and programs envisaged by CEPA, ensuring the transparency of their implementation, as well as improving the public presentation of their progress and results.

At the end of the discussion, the results were summed up, and the roadmap for further steps was clarified.
