Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan has attempted and is attempting to distance Armenia from Russia and the entire post-Soviet expanse. This was stated by Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian State Duma, in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"It’s just that the wheel of fortune, perhaps temporarily, has changed these plans and slowed them down due to some improvement in relations between Russia and the United States. Of course, this creates some difficulties for Pashinyan. But at the same time, I am convinced that Pashinyan is the person who has caused the greatest harm to the Armenian people throughout the entire existence of independent Armenia and, perhaps, in all times," Zatulin added.
