Germany will provide another 30 million euros in humanitarian aid to the civilian population of the Palestinian territories. This was announced by German foreign minister Johann Wadephul after a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa in Ramallah, the DPA news agency reports.
The aforesaid funds will be used—among other things—for food aid, water supply, health care, and the construction of temporary shelters.
Thus, Germany will become one of the largest donors to the Palestinian territories, with the total amount of humanitarian aid provided since October 2023 amounting to 333 million euros.
The main focus remains on food aid, primary health care, and psychosocial support.
