Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday received the newly appointed ambassador of China to Armenia, Li Xinwei, the Armenian foreign ministry informed.
During the meeting, steps and upcoming programs aimed at expanding bilateral partnership between Armenia and China were discussed.
“Armenia and China are currently at a phase of considerable development of relations, both in terms of high-level political dialogue and cooperation in economic and other domains, and I highly value the maximum realization of existing opportunities,” FM Mirzoyan emphasized.
Collaboration between the two countries on various international platforms were touched upon, too.
In addition, the interlocutors exchanged views on international and regional developments. Both parties emphasized the importance of developing mutually beneficial partnerships in the current period of uncertainty, but also opportunities.
Mirzoyan and Li discussed as well the development of a regional communications network, in the context of which the interest in the Crossroads of Peace program developed by the Armenian government was noted.
