The "Euro troika" (UK, France, and Germany) must prove their "good intentions" to participate in the negotiations on the nuclear agreement with Iran, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told RIA Novosti.

"As for the European countries, they must first prove their good faith, and then we [i.e. Iran] will continue the dialogue with them [on the future nuclear agreement]," Mohajerani said.

Iran and the aforesaid “Euro troika” were due to hold talks on Iran's nuclear program on May 2. But after the US postponed the fourth round of talks with Iran, French foreign minister Jean-Noel Barrot said the meeting with Iran on the nuclear issue would not take place because "these technical consultations were planned before the high-level meeting between the US and Iran." He said "since that meeting did not take place, the consultations are no longer relevant—at least for the time being."

Iran's foreign ministry said Tehran was ready to meet the “Euro troika” after the fourth round of talks with the US.
