The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Azerbaijan will cease its operations in the coming months, Iryna Mazur, Regional Chief of Communication for UNICEF in Europe and Central Asia, told Report news agency of Azerbaijan.

According to her, the process will be carried out gradually over the next few months.

"UNICEF will continue to engage with partners in Azerbaijan through its regional office and headquarters," Mazur added.

Mazur noted that UNICEF has worked alongside the government of Azerbaijan since 1993.
