The Russian delegation will be in Istanbul on Thursday and will wait for the Ukrainian side there. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this when answering a question from VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, TASS reports.

“We are only assessing the statements of President (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, who suggested that the delegations hold talks on Thursday in Istanbul. Our delegation will be there and will wait for the Ukrainian side,” Peskov said, responding to Zarubin's question about Vladimir Zelensky's statements about his desire to meet with the Russian leader. 

Peskov also clarified that the composition of the Russian delegation will be disclosed when there are relevant instructions from the Russian president.

 Earlier, Zelensky confirmed that on May 15 he will be in Turkey, where he is scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also specified that he expects to meet Putin in Ankara or Istanbul.
