The Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, received Greek Ambassador Christos Sofianopoulos.

The Armenian interior minister reflected on the friendly relations between Armenia and Greece, and emphasized the need to further deepen cooperation at her ministry’s level and the existing potential, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Greek ambassador, for his part, reaffirmed his country’s readiness to expand cooperation with Armenia in various domains.

During the meeting, the parties substantively discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the police system, civil defense, as well as in migration and citizenship.

Particular attention was paid to the launch of Armenia’s visa liberalization process with the EU. In this context, Ambassador Sofianopoulos expressed the full support of Greece.

Also, the parties discussed the avenues for the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, and outlined further steps.
