The European Council President and I congratulated the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the finalization of the peace treaty. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote this on X.
She assessed this as a “major step forward.”
“And we're looking forward to its swift signature. The EU is ready to invest in regional connectivity – and bring the whole region closer together and closer to our Union,” added the president of the European Commission.
