Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia.

During the meeting, the work being carried out by the Armenian government to address the needs of the Armenians who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia was discussed in detail. In this context, the deputy PM highly appreciated the assistance being provided by the EU in addressing humanitarian needs.

Reflecting on the steps necessary to address longer-term needs, the interlocutors underscored continuing the close cooperation with Armenia’s international partners and NGOs—in particular, to develop and implement effective mechanisms for livelihood stabilization and employment programs. In this context, the current framework of bilateral cooperation and the opportunities for its expansion were discussed in detail.
