There will be no peace treaty with Azerbaijan, but a document about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on how he will continue his political prospect. The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, said this in an interview with several media outlets.

"It will be a paper without content, pursuing a domestic political objective. There is a failed leader [i.e. Pashinyan] whose objective is to keep his seat [of power] at all costs," Kocharyan said.

When asked whether the incumbent authorities of Armenia might exploit the issue of the return of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan as part of the negotiation process, Kocharyan replied: "The issue of the captives is not of interest to these authorities. People are taken captives who, by coming here [to Armenia], can somehow organize the [Armenian] refugees from Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], which these authorities do not need. This [current] situation is the most convenient for these authorities."
