Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Chinese ambassador, Li Xinwei, the PM’s office informs.

First, the premier congratulated the Chinese diplomat on assuming the post of ambassador to Armenia, and wished him success in further developing and expanding relations between Armenia and China. Also, Pashinyan expressed hope that during Li's tenure, concrete results will be recorded in bilateral relations.

The Chinese ambassador, for his part, emphasized that he will make every effort to give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation and develop trade, economic, and cultural ties between Armenia and China.

The interlocutors attached importance to the implementation of joint programs in economy and tourism, including the increasing of the number of direct flights between Armenia and China.

Also, they reflected on the organizing of high-level mutual visits, and cooperation within international organizations.

In addition, they exchanged views on the Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace project and its principles.
