Russia is sincerely interested in the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on Wednesday.

“We [i.e. Russia] consider the complex of trilateral agreements reached at a high level between the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the prime minister of Armenia, which were reached in 2020-2022, to be a solid basis for this.

We have welcomed the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and are ready to assist in resolving all issues that require settlement for the full signing of this document.

You can always count on us [Russia] in unblocking [regional] transport and economic communication routes, delimiting the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and resolving humanitarian issues arising in this connection, taking into account the interests of each side,” the Russian FM added.
