The next meetings in the "3+3" format may be held in the Armenia capital of Yerevan and in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced at a press conference in Yerevan on Wednesday.

The Russian FM reaffirmed his country's support for Armenia and Azerbaijan on their path to achieving full peace through the signing of a peace agreement, unblocking of regional communications, and delimiting and demarcating of their border. According to him, this processes should be based on the complex of trilateral agreements that were reached at the high level between 2020 and 2022.

Also, Lavrov said that he sees significant potential in the development of the "3+3" format—which comprises the three countries of the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia) and their immediate neighbors (Russia, Iran, and Turkey). Two ministerial meetings in this format have already been held in Tehran and Istanbul. And their results give some optimism about the future of this format, which has all the prerequisites to become a pillar of strengthening peace and stability, economic and transport ties, and rich cultural traditions in the region
