No issue can be resolved compulsorily, there will be no “Zangezur corridor.” This was stated by Iranian ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani, responding to a reporter’s remark that the Turkish minister of transport and infrastructure had said that they were going to open the so-called “Zangezur corridor”—via Armenia—with Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijani president Aliyev says that the “Zangezur corridor” shall be opened, and to the question as to what Iran is going to do if Azerbaijan resorts to taking that “corridor” by force.
Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, had announced that the “Zangezur corridor” project was planned to be implemented within the next three to four years.
