YEREVAN. – The only task of Prosperous Armenia Party, part of the ruling coalition, is holding fair and free elections, MP Naira Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Speaking about plans for 2012, Zohrabyan said the party is preparing for elections and will soon form a campaign office.

“Political council of the party is working on campaign program which will be made public in due time,” she said.

Political council and MPs will hold discussions when precise tasks are put forward, she added.

“We want all the political forces, which are speaking about their responsibility for conduction of free and fair elections, to fully realize their task. Unless these elections are held properly, if they are not held in accordance with democratic norms, Armenia will be faced with serious consequences,” she said.
