Georgia is very interested in ending the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said.

“We [i.e. Georgia] are one of the interested parties in ending the conflict. I would like to thank the governments of both countries for their willingness to end the conflict. Peace and stability are of crucial importance for the region, and open up opportunities for all three countries,” Kavelashvili said on Imedi television, Sputnik Georgia reports.

Earlier, after an official visit to Armenia, the Georgian president had said that the countries of the South Caucasus were mobilized and motivated to establish long-term peace and ensure sustainable development in the region.
