The signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan is a mandatory condition for the practical implementation of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative being developed by Armenia, with the aim of "including its territory, its logistical capabilities in major pan-continental processes," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, TASS reports.

In this regard, Lavrov is in favor of "developing all infrastructure projects so that, as our Chinese friends say, thousands and millions of flowers bloom."

But for the implementation of these projects, in addition to a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, "it is also necessary, of course, to normalize relations between Armenia and Turkey," added the Russian FM.

"Overcoming conflicts and eliminating barriers to transport and economic ties established as a result of these conflicts will considerably increase the competitiveness of both this part of the continent and our entire continent," Lavrov emphasized.
